Is Amprov™ available for Android?
Not in the first version. Amprov™ has strict low-latency audio requirements because the host's voice needs to arrive on nearby phones quickly enough to feel useful in the same room. Starting with iOS lets us tune performance against a smaller, more predictable set of devices, audio APIs, and local-network behavior before expanding to Android.
Why does Amprov™ require local network access?
Amprov™ uses the local network so nearby devices can discover the host's room and receive live audio with as little delay as possible. Sending everything through a remote server would add more distance, more points of failure, and more latency. Local network access keeps the first version focused on the core promise: phones in the same place helping everyone hear at the same time.
Do listeners need an account?
No. The current app is designed so nearby listeners can join a room without creating an account.
Does Amprov™ record audio?
No. Amprov™ is intended for live audio transmission. The current app is not designed to record or retain microphone audio after a session ends.
What affects sound quality?
Local network conditions, device volume, battery level, speaker placement, distance between devices, and room acoustics can all affect the experience. For best results, use a trusted local Wi-Fi network and keep listener phones spread around the space with their volume up.
