Amprov™ is designed to help nearby people hear a live speaker. This policy explains how Amprov™ handles information for the current iOS-first app and website.
The short version
Amprov™ uses your microphone, camera, and local network only when needed to provide app features you choose to use. The current app is designed for local live audio between nearby devices and does not require user accounts or cloud room creation. The website does not use advertising cookies.
Information the app uses
When you use Amprov™, the app may use or display the following information:
- Microphone audio: If you host a room, Amprov™ needs microphone access to transmit live audio from the host device to listener devices in the room.
- Local network discovery: Amprov™ uses Bonjour and Apple networking tools so nearby devices can discover and join rooms.
- Room details: Room IDs, room names, room type, join codes, creation and expiration times, listener capacity, and current listener counts help operate rooms.
- QR and room codes: QR join links can include a room ID, join code, and optional room name. Treat QR codes and room codes as access credentials and share them only with intended participants.
- Participant and device details: Amprov™ may display participant names, device names, mute state, active mic state, connection status, signal quality, and battery level inside a room.
- Camera input: If you scan a QR code, camera access is used to detect Amprov™ room links. The app is not designed to store or transmit camera frames.
- Subscription status: If hosting uses a paid Host Plan, Apple processes App Store purchases. Amprov™ may receive entitlement information such as product ID, expiration, revocation, and renewal state.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the live room experience, including discovering rooms, connecting participants, transmitting live audio, enforcing room capacity and expiration limits, showing session status, resolving host entitlements, and responding to support requests.
Audio, recording, and retention
The current app is intended for live audio transmission. It does not intentionally record or retain microphone audio after a live session ends. Live audio is played through devices that join the same room. Room codes and local session details are temporary and intended to last only as long as needed to operate the session.
Future features such as cloud relay, browser joining, recording, AI transcription, persistent accounts, moderation tools, audience interaction, or push notifications would change the data involved. We will update this policy before launching those features.
Sharing
Amprov™ does not sell personal information. Live audio and room details are shared with devices that join the same Amprov™ room. Nearby devices may see room discovery metadata needed to find and join a room. People should only host or join rooms they trust, and hosts should share passcodes and QR links carefully.
Analytics and diagnostics
Amprov™ may use event analytics and diagnostics to understand app reliability and subscription behavior. Examples may include free room started, free room expired, full-room join rejection, upgrade screen viewed, subscription purchased or restored, latency, packet loss, buffer state, audio route, feedback-risk state, connection status, and error logs. If analytics or diagnostics are collected automatically, this policy will identify the categories, vendors, retention, identifiers, and opt-out choices.
Subscriptions
Host Plans, if offered, are app-based subscriptions managed through Apple. Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment information under Apple's terms and privacy practices. Amprov™ uses subscription entitlement status to decide which hosting features are available.
This website
This static marketing website is hosted by GitHub Pages. Amprov™ does not add analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies to it. If you submit a support form, the information you provide is sent to and processed by Google Apps Script so we can respond to your request. GitHub and Google may process technical information under their own privacy practices.
Children's privacy
Amprov™ is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We take reasonable steps to design Amprov™ with privacy and security in mind. No method of electronic transmission is completely secure, so only use Amprov™ on networks and with participants you trust.
Changes to this policy
As the MVP evolves, Amprov™ data practices may change. We will update this page and its effective date when they do.
